Room had a nice nespresso machine for a quick caffeine jolt after walking 10 miles through Rome and getting ready for dinner. Your cozy home in the heart of the city Walk through the door of this charming, 17th century townhouse and leave the tourist hustle and bustle behind. My only negative comment would be, and perhaps this was due to being on the first floor, from 7am-7:30am every morning we would be woken up by sounds out on the street, but then it would be quiet again. Lots of high end shopping right out the front door, very nice walk to many great piazzas and perfect at night with a quiet street to come back to that always has one restaurant open at the end of the block for a nightcap. While we were right near the Spanish Steps, we never felt like we were too central/ too touristy in location. We liked staying at Mario de Fiori- the location was fantastic- in a very chic part of town for shopping and great location. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful for making reservations or giving directions. Mario de' Fiori 37, Rome: See 665 traveller reviews, 454 photos, and cheap rates for Mario de' Fiori 37, ranked 43 of 1,379 hotels in Rome and rated 4.5 of 5 at Tripadvisor. The hotel was booked up but we never saw any of the other guests, we felt like we were staying in our own townhouse. The room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. We stayed for 4 nights in the double deluxe on the first floor.
